Few cities welcome the new year like Miami. The skyline lights up over Biscayne Bay, Ocean Drive fills with people, and the whole city counts down to midnight. On December 31, 2026, which falls on a Thursday, the question is not whether you will celebrate. It is how you will arrive, where you will watch the fireworks and how you will get home.
At Dynasty Luxury Rentals, we have spent 18 years helping guests turn big nights into unforgettable ones. For New Year’s Eve, that usually means one of three choices: an exotic car, a private yacht or a chauffeured limousine. This guide walks you through each option, what it costs and how to plan the night so nothing gets in the way of midnight.
Why New Year’s Eve in Miami calls for a better ride
New Year’s Eve is one of the busiest nights of the year in Miami. Streets close around the main celebrations, parking near the waterfront disappears early and rideshare prices climb as midnight approaches. The way you move around the city shapes the entire evening.
A luxury rental solves more than one problem at once:
- You arrive at dinner, the party or the marina on your schedule, not on an app’s.
- You make an entrance that matches the occasion and the photos you will keep.
- Your group stays together instead of splitting into several cars.
- You choose the setting for midnight: a rooftop, the beach or the water.
Where Miami celebrates at midnight
Each part of the city offers a different kind of countdown. Knowing where you want to be at 11:59 p.m. helps you choose the right rental.
- Downtown Miami: Bayfront Park hosts the city’s largest celebration, with live music and fireworks launched over Biscayne Bay at midnight.
- Miami Beach: Lummus Park, along the Ocean Drive beachfront, has its own midnight fireworks show.
- Coconut Grove: waterfront venues along the bay host celebrations with music and fireworks.
- Biscayne Bay: from the water, you see the skyline and the fireworks without the crowds.
Event lineups and schedules are announced closer to the date, so check the official pages before you finalize your plans.
Option 1: an exotic car for the night
If your plan includes dinner, a party and a few stops in between, an exotic car turns every drive into part of the celebration. Miami’s warm December nights are made for a convertible, and a statement SUV gives your group room without losing the wow factor.
Some of the models in our Miami luxury car collection that fit the night:
- Rolls-Royce Dawn: 4 passengers, from $1,389 per day. Pure elegance for a dinner reservation.
- Ferrari Portofino: 4 passengers, from $1,289 per day. A Ferrari with room for two couples.
- Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder: 2 passengers, from $1,489 per day. Open-air drama for a night out.
- Bentley Continental GT Convertible: 4 passengers, from $1,299 per day. Grand touring comfort under the stars.
- Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet: 4 passengers, from $689 per day. A luxury convertible at a more accessible rate.
- Ferrari Purosangue: 4 passengers, from $2,900 per day. One of the rarest SUVs you can rent in Miami.
- Cadillac Escalade V: 8 passengers, from $789 per day. The most powerful 8-seat option in our fleet.
Delivery is included to your hotel, the airport or a private residence, and every vehicle in our fleet is automatic. Keep in mind that a full-day rental covers both December 31 and New Year’s Day, so you can enjoy the car well beyond midnight.

Option 2: a private yacht on Biscayne Bay
For many guests, the best seat for the Miami fireworks is on the water. A private yacht charter puts your group on Biscayne Bay with the skyline in front of you, music on board and no crowds around you.
Every charter includes a licensed captain and the crew required for the yacht’s size and trip length. Fuel for local cruising and basic amenities are part of the charter, and you can bring your own food and drinks. If you prefer, catering with a chef on board is available for an additional fee.
Choose the yacht by the size of your group:
- Up to 12 or 13 guests: the 62′ Azimut, from $2,300 per 4-hour charter, or the 75′ Prestige, from $4,150.
- Up to 25 guests: the 90′ Pershing, from $6,650 per 4-hour charter, or the 97′ San Lorenzo, from $7,150.
- Up to 30 guests: the 116′ Azimut, from $10,400 per 4-hour charter, or the 100′ Princess, from $10,900.
The minimum charter is 4 hours, which gives you time for sunset, dinner on board and the countdown. Yachts depart from Miami Beach Marina or Bayside Marina, and the exact departure point is confirmed when you book. Want the full breakdown? Read our guide on what’s included in a Miami yacht charter. Option 3: a chauffeured limousine
If champagne is part of your plan, the smartest luxury is not having to drive. A chauffeured limousine lets everyone in your group celebrate freely, while a professional driver handles traffic, road closures and the ride home.
Every limousine rental includes a professional chauffeur who is fully licensed, insured and trained in luxury client service. Soft drinks and water are usually included, and sparkling wine and ice can be requested when you book. Hot food is not allowed on board.
- Mercedes-Benz S580: up to 4 passengers, from $189 per hour.
- Chevrolet Suburban Premier: up to 14 passengers, from $168 per hour.
- Lincoln Aviator: up to 8 passengers, from $275 per hour.
- Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: up to 14 passengers, from $238 per hour.
The minimum rental is 3 hours for most limousines, and some vehicles, such as the Sprinter, may require a longer minimum.
How to combine them for the full night
New Year’s Eve does not have to fit into a single choice. Many of our guests build the evening in stages:
- Early evening: pick up an exotic convertible and drive to a sunset dinner.
- Before midnight: board a private yacht and watch the fireworks from Biscayne Bay.
- After midnight: a chauffeured limousine takes the group to the after-party or back to the hotel.
Our team coordinates the timing between car, yacht and chauffeur, so you only have to think about the countdown.
Booking tips for December 31
New Year’s Eve is a high-demand date for cars, yachts and chauffeurs alike. A few steps make the difference:
- Book early: the most requested models and yachts are the first to be reserved for December 31.
- Count your guests: group size decides whether you need a 2-seat supercar, an 8-seat SUV or a 30-guest yacht.
- Check the requirements: drivers must be 21 to rent luxury vehicles and 25 to rent exotic vehicles.
- Prepare your insurance: U.S. clients need a full-coverage auto policy, and international clients can ask us about options.
- Plan the security hold: it ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 for luxury vehicles and from $2,000 to $4,000 for exotic vehicles, and it is returned to you.
- Decide who drives: if your group plans to drink, add a chauffeur for the ride home.
Frequently asked questions
Can I watch the Miami fireworks from a yacht?
Yes. A private charter on Biscayne Bay is one of the most exclusive ways to see the New Year’s Eve fireworks. Your captain plans the route on the night, and the 4-hour minimum gives you time to be on the water before midnight.
What do I need to rent an exotic car for New Year’s Eve?
You need a valid driver’s license from your state or country, a full-coverage auto policy if you are a U.S. client and the minimum age: 21 for luxury vehicles and 25 for exotic vehicles. A security hold is taken on the day of the rental and returned to you.
Is a limousine a better choice than driving on New Year’s Eve?
If your group plans to celebrate with drinks, yes. A chauffeur handles traffic, road closures and the ride home, so everyone can enjoy the night. Most limousines have a 3-hour minimum, and some vehicles may require more.
